It is a pleasure for me to provide this letter of recommendation to Western Engineering.

​

We have been working with Western Engineering on a variety of our prominent, large scale, open air, mixed use (retail) projects for nearly a decade in the Rocklin and Rancho Cordova areas. We choose to work with Western Engineering for their accurate estimating, means and methods of completing the design intent of our projects, their strong capability to manage and execute critical deadlines under difficult conditions related to weather or rock/granite conditions on these specific projects, and their collaborative attitude as a key team player during all aspects of the projects.

It has been a pleasure working with Don and his  team since 2012 on building two of our award-winning projects, Rocklin Commons and two phases of Rocklin Crossings. These two centers combined are nearly 900,000 SF of high quality retail projects and are among the highest performing centers in the Sacramento area. All phases of these two projects have equated to an approximate $220 million-dollar investment (all in) impacting approximately 100 acres.

We had such great success hiring Western Engineering directly to manage and build out the entire site work for two separate phases at our Rocklin Crossings site (Bass Pro site &The Secret Ravine), we elected to negotiate with them directly to build out our 13 acre site in Rancho Cordova and utilized them for due diligence and estimating at a new development opportunity in Eldorado Hills. Don runs a tight ship and keeps a close eye on costs while keeping in mind ownerships proforma and critical dates tied to specific tenant deals.
